Legal, disclaimers and licences
RunMap provides general running information, race material and calculators. By using this site you accept the boundaries below; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Content is provided as is, with no guarantee that it is complete, accurate or suitable for you. RunMap does not provide medical, nutrition, coaching, legal or safety advice. Race and route information is governed by the latest official notice. Tool results are estimates, not guarantees.
Terms of use and limitation of liability
This site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We try to check sources and update content, but we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate, current, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Race dates, routes, rules, aid stations, transport and weather can change; an older version is not current fact.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RunMap and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from access to, use of or reliance on this site. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. You are responsible for your own judgment and for the risks of using the site.
Not professional advice; emergencies
RunMap is not a medical provider, nutrition service, coaching service or race organiser, and does not provide individual diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, nutrition prescriptions or training plans. For pain, injury, chronic illness, medication, pregnancy, eating disorders or extreme environments, consult a properly qualified doctor, registered dietitian or coach.
For chest pain, fainting, altered consciousness, severe breathing difficulty, heat stroke or another emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a reply from this site or continue exercising.
Races, routes and outdoor safety
Race names, marks, rules, route text and official files belong to their organisers. This site is not an official race site and does not represent any organiser. Entry, eligibility, mandatory kit, cut-offs, aid and transport are governed by the organiser’s latest notice.
Map anchors are editorial overview positions, not official start, finish or course coordinates. We do not distribute course tracks without clear permission. A GPX file, map or route description does not prove that a road is open, that water is available, that communications work or that rescue is possible. Trail, mountain, heat, cold and night activities carry extra risk; assess conditions yourself and follow local rules.
Tools, calculations and files
Pace, splits, prediction, fuelling, elevation, shoe-mileage and checklist outputs are estimates based on your input and public formulas. They are not race results, medical advice, fuelling prescriptions or safety certification. GPS, barometers, maps and track files can contain errors, gaps or outdated information.
Track files are read and processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to this site and no account is required. Results are not retained after a refresh or when the page is closed; shoe-mileage and theme preferences may be stored in local browser storage. Be careful when opening a file that reveals a home address or other sensitive location on a shared device.
Sources, attribution and trademarks
Articles and tools try to list traceable sources, but sources can also be wrong, updated or access-restricted. We do not guarantee that external links will remain available and are not responsible for external content, privacy practices or security.
Race names, race marks, brand names, official route text, official files, photographs, maps and tracks may be protected by trademark or copyright and remain with their owners. We use names for identification, commentary and information only; this does not imply affiliation, authorisation or endorsement.
Copyright and licences
Original RunMap articles, tables, tool documentation and original data are licensed under CC BY 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International). When you republish, adapt or redistribute them, credit “RunMap 跑地图”, link to the original page, indicate changes and do not imply that RunMap endorses you or your product.
Site code is licensed under MIT; the LICENSE file in each code repository is the authoritative text. Third-party race material, trademarks, photographs, maps, tracks, satellite imagery and open-source dependencies are not covered by RunMap’s CC BY 4.0 or MIT licence and remain subject to their owners’ terms.
Privacy and third-party services
This site has no accounts, comments, advertising or third-party analytics scripts. A small amount of data, such as theme preference and shoe mileage, stays in local browser storage. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep access logs under its own policies. Route close-ups use the public EOX Sentinel-2 cloudless tiles, so your browser sends a request and ordinary network information to that service.
We do not sell personal data and do not ask you to upload track files. External links are governed by the destination site’s privacy policy.
Editorial method and automation
Content is written, checked and updated by the RunMap editorial team. The editorial process may use automated tools for retrieval, comparison, formatting and consistency checks. Automation does not replace a qualified professional’s judgment and is not an independent specialist assessment.
Every published entry requires matching Chinese and English versions, source records and a content digest. When a fact, source or calculation is wrong, we correct it, add a note or withdraw the content.
Corrections, contact and changes
If you find a factual, sourcing, copyright or trademark problem, include the specific page, version, evidence and rights information. We will review it and record material corrections where appropriate.
This page may change as the site, legal requirements or third-party services change; the latest version on this page governs. This page is not legal advice; consult a qualified lawyer if you need legal advice.
